Home ground, East River and beyond.
Jim River Fencing works out of Irene, in the far southeast corner of South Dakota - James River country, an easy drive from Yankton, Vermillion, and the whole I-29 corridor. Most of those 130 annual miles go into SD ground, from river-bottom pasture to open range.
What SD ground asks of a fence
Southeastern South Dakota swings from wet river bottom to dry upland in the same section. That's why the operation standardized on CCA .60 treated posts and heavy H-braces - the same corner that holds in July gumbo has to hold through a February freeze-thaw.
